This Privacy Policy explains how Nahnu Fitness LLC, operating under the brand name Nahnu Plugins (“we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit frontendassetscanner.com (“Site”) or use the Nahnu Asset Scanner plugin (“Plugin”).

We take your privacy seriously. This policy is written to be readable, not buried in legalese.

1. Who We Are

Nahnu Fitness LLC is a Washington State, USA company operating the Nahnu Plugins brand. We build and distribute free and commercial WordPress plugins including Nahnu Asset Scanner.

For questions about this policy, use the contact details in Section 10.

2. What This Policy Covers

This policy covers:

  • Information collected when you visit the Site
  • Information collected when you submit a support request via our contact form
  • Information collected when you subscribe to the Nahnu Plugins newsletter
  • How the Plugin itself handles data on your WordPress site

This policy does not cover cookies in detail. Please refer to our Cookie Policy for a full breakdown of cookies set on this Site.

3. Information We Collect

When you visit the Site

We use self-hosted Plausible Analytics and self-hosted Matomo Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Both tools run entirely on our own servers. No data is sent to Google, Meta, or any other third-party analytics provider.

These tools collect:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referring website or search query
  • Browser type and operating system (aggregated, not linked to individuals)
  • Country of origin (derived from IP address, which is not stored)
  • Whether the visit came from a direct link, search engine, or referral

Neither Plausible nor Matomo sets third-party cookies, shares your data with advertising networks, or builds individual user profiles. All analytics data is stored on servers we control.

When you submit a support request

Our support form is powered by SureForms, a self-hosted WordPress form plugin. When you submit a support request, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your WordPress version and plugin version
  • A description of your issue
  • Any other information you voluntarily include in the form

This information is stored in our WordPress database and used solely to respond to your request.

When you subscribe to the newsletter

If you choose to subscribe to the Nahnu Plugins newsletter, we collect:

  • Your name (if provided)
  • Your email address

Subscriptions are managed using MailerPress, a self-hosted email list management tool running on our own servers. We use Postmark to send emails on our behalf. Postmark processes your email address only to deliver messages we send and does not use it for any other purpose.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every newsletter. Once unsubscribed, your email address will no longer be used for newsletter communications.

When you use the Plugin

The Plugin runs entirely within your own WordPress installation. It does not transmit any data to our servers or any third party. All scan results are stored in your own WordPress database.

The only outbound network requests the Plugin makes are the optional one-click database fetches you initiate manually from the Settings tab: one to fetch the Open Cookie Database from GitHub, and one to fetch the Ghostery TrackerDB from GitHub. These requests go directly from your server to GitHub. We do not receive any information from these requests.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Understand how visitors use the Site and improve it
  • Respond to support requests you submit
  • Send you the Nahnu Plugins newsletter if you have subscribed
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the Site

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar privacy laws, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interests — for self-hosted analytics, which help us understand and improve the Site without tracking individuals
  • Consent — for newsletter subscriptions, which you opt into voluntarily
  • Contract performance — for support requests, where processing your contact details is necessary to respond to you
  • Legal obligation — where we are required by law to process or retain certain information

6. Data Retention

  • Analytics data — aggregated and retained indefinitely in anonymized form. No personally identifiable information is retained in our analytics systems.
  • Support requests — retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your issue and for a reasonable period afterward in case of follow-up, typically no longer than two years.
  • Newsletter subscriptions — retained until you unsubscribe. After unsubscription, your email address is removed from active lists. Suppression records (to prevent accidental re-subscription) may be retained.

7. Third-Party Services

The Site and Plugin use the following third-party services:

Postmark — used to deliver newsletter emails. Postmark receives your email address solely for delivery purposes. Postmark’s privacy policy is available at postmarkapp.com/privacy-policy.

GitHub — if you use the optional database fetch feature in the Plugin, your server makes a request to GitHub’s servers to download a data file. GitHub may log that request in accordance with their own privacy policy, available at docs.github.com/en/site-policy/privacy-policies/github-general-privacy-statement.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising networks, chat widgets, heatmap tools, or any other third-party tracking services on this Site.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Restriction — request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances
  • Portability — request your data in a portable format where technically feasible
  • Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These include:

  • Self-hosted analytics tools that keep data on servers we control
  • Self-hosted email list management that avoids sharing subscriber data with third parties
  • Form data stored in our WordPress database with appropriate access controls

No method of data transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take the protection of your data seriously.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Site and Plugin are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site or Plugin after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
